Terms of Use
Last updated 12 October 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Abdel Rahman SayedAhmed (“we”, “us”), who operates Wander from British Columbia, Canada. They apply whenever you use the Wander app. Please read them, together with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and Safety Tips, which form part of them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Wander.
1. Who can use Wander
You must be at least 18 years old. We block anyone who enters an under-18 birthday, and we remove accounts we believe belong to a minor.
You may not use Wander if you have been convicted of a sexual offence or a violent crime, or if we have previously banned you.
One account per person. Your profile must be about you, with your real first name, true age and photos of you.
2. Your account
Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
Tell us straight away at support@wanderappstudio.com if you think someone else has used your account.
3. How Wander works, and its limits
Nearby shows people in roughly the same area, based on approximate areas of about 1 km. Busy-area circles show roughly where people have been in the last hour.
All of this is approximate and can be out of date. We don’t promise that anyone is where the app suggests, that you’ll be matched with anyone, or that the service will always be available or free of errors.
A “Verified” badge only means one of our moderators compared a selfie with that person’s photos and they appeared to match. It is not an identity check, an age check or a background check.
4. Your safety, and meeting in person
We do not run criminal background checks or screen users, and we can’t confirm anyone’s identity, age, intentions or conduct.
You are responsible for your own interactions with other users, online and in person. Always follow our Safety Tips: meet in busy public places, arrange your own transport, and tell a friend where you’ll be.
If you are ever in danger, call 911 first.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off Wander.
5. Rules of conduct
You must follow our Community Guidelines. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
In particular, never use Wander to find, follow, watch or turn up on someone who hasn’t chosen to meet you. The only exception is Find each other, and only while that person is sharing their location with you. If they stop sharing, unmatch or block you, stop looking for them. Don’t try to work out anyone’s location beyond what the app shows you, and don’t use any automated means (bots, scrapers) to access Wander.
6. Your content
You own the photos, text and messages you post (“your content”). You are responsible for it, and you must have the right to post it.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize and display your content only as needed to run Wander, for example showing your photos to your matches and your content to moderators reviewing reports. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies we must keep by law or that remain for a limited time in backups.
7. Reports, moderation and enforcement
Messages and new profile photos are checked automatically before they are posted, and anything that looks harmful (for example threats, hate, harassment, or sexual photos) is blocked. Automated checks make mistakes both ways; tell us if something was blocked unfairly.
You can report or block anyone at any time. We review reports and act on them promptly, and we aim to deal with reports of serious harm within 24 hours.
We may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or that we reasonably believe put others at risk, with or without notice.
We may keep and share information with police or other authorities when the law requires it, or when we believe in good faith that it’s needed to protect someone’s safety.
8. Other services
Wander uses services run by others, such as maps from Apple or Google, place suggestions from OpenStreetMap, and sign-in with Google or Apple. We don’t control them or endorse any place they suggest, and their own terms apply.
9. Price
Wander is currently free. If we ever add paid features, we’ll tell you the price and terms before you pay anything.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Wander and delete your account at any time from the Profile tab.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Wander.
11. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wander is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under British Columbia’s Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or any other law that can’t be excluded by agreement.
12. Limits on our liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of Wander or your dealings with other users, whether online or in person.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Wander is limited to the greater of CAD $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
These limits don’t apply where the law doesn’t allow them, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where that can’t be limited.
13. Your responsibility to us
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your conduct towards other users.
14. Disputes and governing law
If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@wanderappstudio.com so we can try to sort it out.
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be decided by the courts of British Columbia, or the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal where it has jurisdiction, unless consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we’ll ask you to agree again in the app before you continue. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
16. If you got Wander from the Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Wander and its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Wander. If Wander fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to Wander, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that it infringes someone’s intellectual property.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
If you got Wander from Google Play, Google’s terms for Play also apply, and Google is likewise not responsible for Wander.
17. General
These Terms, with the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and us about Wander. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
